In 2022 I worked with OpenAi and Kornhaber Brown to create a video for DALL·E 2, an AI sytem that creates images from text prompts.

In 2022, before generative AI became a mainstream topic, I worked with OpenAI to create an explainer video for DALL·E. The goal was to make a sophisticated AI model approachable and understandable through strong visual narrative.
Create an explainer video for a $300B tech company, simplifying a complex technical process through clear visual storytelling and a custom designed motion language.
Challenge
As Art Director and Lead Animator, I researched, developed, and animated a visual style that aligned with OpenAI’s brand and communicated its technology clearly.
Solution
Results
DALL·E is now used by tens of millions of people worldwide, and the explainer video we created played a key role in promoting OpenAI’s vision and the product’s mission.
Motion Design
The motion design served as the ethos for OpenAi’s branding.
Although the Dall•E algorithm is complex, showing how it works had to be easy to understand for the customers and users.

Before any animation was done, I worked with Kornhaber Brown and OpenAi directly to explore various was to show a simplified interpretation of how Dall•E works.
